but i just wanted to try to cheer you up a little, in case you were still feeling glum! i really admire how devoted you are to your stories…and i really get the whole thing about marrying your ideas, getting distracted by lovely new ones, then feeling bad about that one idea that’s kept you company all these years. d-definitely… /sighsighh/
i like thinking about ideas like they’re all my kids of all different ages and have hugely different personalities and needs, and as their mom, i have to help them grow and give them love and guidance. sometimes an idea is at a stage where it really need extra love and care and attention, and sometimes it’s at a point where it just needs me to leave it alone and give it some space to grow on its own. …i guess!! i think i just wanna be a mom sometimes wehh
UM if the kid thing is too weird, i think you can also think of your mind as a garden, and your ideas are all these different flowers and plants and trees, and they need you to water them and give them sun!! but if you need to go water another plant that really needs it, the others’ll still be alive and well when you return to them u v u
ahh i don’t know i just like analogies a lot b-but anyway! i really enjoy your writing, and it’s really inspiring to see how much you nurture them, and how you keep coming up with new ideas!! i love how when you introduce a new story, you focus on the characters. i think that’s really cool..!! i feel so stressed to push the plot in my stories, when it’s really the characters that make the plot! ‘o’ seeing how you pay so much attention to your characters makes me want to work harder too ´w`
